How do I hide a message?
- Open Imp and enter the message you want to hide.
- Choose the emoji that will carry it.
- Tap the hide or share action, then send the resulting emoji using the app of your choice.
How do I open an Imp message?
Copy or share the received emoji to Imp, then follow the on-screen prompt to reveal the message. Make sure the full emoji is selected and that Imp is up to date.
Why will an emoji not open?
It may be an ordinary emoji, may have been altered by another service, or may have been created with an incompatible app version. Ask the sender to create and share it again without editing it.
Where are my messages stored?
Imp’s message encoding and decoding happen on your device. Imp does not operate a cloud message service. Once you share an emoji through another app, that service handles the shared content under its own terms and privacy policy.
Does Imp use accounts?
No account is required for Imp’s core hide-and-open features. Because Imp does not maintain an Imp account for you, there is no Imp account to delete.
How do I manage an App Store purchase?
Purchases and subscriptions made through Apple are managed by Apple. Visit Apple subscription settings to manage a subscription or Report a Problem to request help with a purchase or refund.
How do I report a privacy or safety concern?
Email support with “Privacy” or “Safety” in the subject line. Include only the information needed to investigate the issue and do not include the secret itself.
A note about secrecy: Imp disguises and encodes a message inside an emoji, but no tool can control what a recipient does after revealing it. Do not use Imp for emergency, illegal, or safety-critical communications.
